Playing Experience: I’ve been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. I started with the Eden Prairie Soccer Club in suburban Minneapolis growing up, and I was usually among the first group of girls to field a team at an age level. After playing high school varsity soccer for four years, I was a four-year starter for DePauw University, a Division III team in Greencastle, Indiana. I’ve continued to play recreationally ever since, from the amateur New York Metropolitan Women’s Soccer League to coed rec leagues at Breakaway and Keva here in the Madison area. I learned the most about the game the summer when my high school team travelled to play in Denmark and Norway and that summer I joined a team that played total football.
Coaching Experience: I coached for the Eden Prairie Soccer Club during my college years, including as an assistant to professional coaches like Hope Powell (who later was England’s national team coach), who trained the teams in our club, as well as a coach for U16 girls’ teams and various soccer camps. Since my kids have joined the Waunakee Area Soccer Club, I’ve coached their academy teams and led academy training sessions for U6-U8 boys and girls for three seasons. Coaching Qualifications: I have US Soccer E and 9v9 licenses and will complete the 11v11 license this summer.
Personal Details: My coaching philosophy is that playing any sport should be fun and invigorating, and every player should be given opportunities to succeed and contribute. My kids play for the Waunakee Area Soccer Club, and my husband, Colin, and I sometimes get to play soccer together. On weekend mornings, we’re watching the Premier League. I also love to run, read and play hockey. In my day job, I teach journalism and strategic communication in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Playing Experience: I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I played club soccer for WASC and went to Wauankee High School where I played soccer for all 4 years. Following high school, I took a break from playing soccer while I attended college but once I returned home to the Madison area, I began playing recreationally at Breakaway on a coed adult team.
Coaching License: USSF E license and Grassroots 11 v 11
Coaching Experience: I have been coaching soccer on and off since I was in high school. I started helping with the soccer camps put on by the high school program. I joined the WASC coaching staff last year after my husband joined the staff 2 years ago. I enjoy coaching all age groups and being able to interact with the players.
Personal Details: I grew up in Waunakee and played both soccer and basketball through high school. I went on to play basketball in college at Carroll University but I stayed connected with soccer while I was there. I now teach math at Waunakee Middle School and coach basketball and soccer in my spare time. I met my husband, Tyler, playing soccer at Breakaway sports complex. He also coaches for the club and we enjoy playing soccer together as well as other sports. We also have a black lab named Bailey and we love to spend time with her especially when it is nice outside.

Playing Experience: I have played soccer from a very young age. For my entire club years, I played at Waunakee. We were called the Waunakee Blaze and we played very competitively and made it to the Regional League. That was the best year of soccer and I loved traveling to play other teams. After club, I played at Waunakee High School where I was on Varsity for all 4 years. I continued my soccer career at Edgewood College where I was a four-year starter. I still play soccer at Keva and still love the game to this day.
Coaching Licensure: I have the 9v9 licenses
Coaching Experience: I started coaching in 2018 for the Waunakee High School. I then started coaching in 2021 for the Waunakee Soccer club. I coach U9 for Waunakee club and I coach Women’s JV for the High School. I believe in growing the whole child when it comes to soccer. Not only will they develop fundamentals of soccer but they will develop other skills as well. I want to create a strong passion and a love for the game and to grow to be well rounded individuals and soccer players.
Personal Details: I grew up in Waunakee my whole life and I didn’t venture far. I went to Edgewood College and I lived in Madison for 6 years. I am an Elementary School Teacher and I love every second of it. I also enjoy reading, playing soccer and watching sports. My husband and I recently got married and we just moved to Waunakee.
